Photos from the Gloria Starr Kinns Extravaganza
Hurricane Irene had just blown through DC and New York and Amtrak was shut down — but Gloria Starr Kins, Editor of MaximsNews Society and Diplomatic, had invited a host of friends — and I couldn’t miss the evening in my honor to promote my new book, Transcendence, as well as to highlight the important Operation Warrior Wellness, which brings Transcendental Meditation to our veterans with combat-related PTSD. So I sprung for a limo — and wow! Was it worth it! I was so happy to be there, and be part of such a spirit of sharing and festivity.
I thought you might enjoy some pictures from the evening:
Not only was it great fun to meet Dutch fashion model, Sharon Van De Pas, but I was actually able to chat briefly with her in Afrikaans, which I learned in South Africa way back when. We soon reverted to English, which I speak more fluently — and she speaks perfectly!
Photo #2 is of our gracious and inimitable host Gloria Starr Kinns and Sharon Van De Pas. Gloria Starr Kins is publisher/editor-in-chief, of Society and Diplomatic Review

All in all it was a delightful evening. The guests showed such genuine interest in the topics of the evening & I left in exuberant spirits and — yes, you guessed it — another limo. Amtrak was still shut down and I needed to get back to DC the following day.
I hope you enjoyed these pictures and if you have any comments please feel free to post them in the section below.
Wishing you Light and Transcendence,
Norman

Dear Ed:
It was a wonderful evening at Gloria Starr Kins’s place — and great to have you there to represent Operation Warrior Wellness.
I believe we can all change the world one person at a time
Norman
A big thankyou to Norman for ginivg up his time and patience to share his vast knowlege with us Newbies!! If I may put a suggestion in for next time, it would be to follow through on a pactical demonstration for answers to the questions asked. E.g. take five mins and mentor the lady who asked about f stops . Individuals within groups of people have different styles of learning this is by no means a criticism, purely a suggestion??I thoroughly enjoyed the eveing and cant wait for the next one!!!Thank you. :0)
we need to do more of these and your sacrifice is much appreciated Dr R
big thanks from your friend-ed
